Christmas Day
Kinnon, Laura and myself wish you all a merry Christmas. Thank you for all the well wishes!
Its been a busy day for all of us, and I think Kinnon must be wondering why we have been meeting so many friends and family members in the past two days.
We celebrated Christmas Eve's at Laura's grandmothers place. There were lots of kids, children and babies. The highlight of the night was Andrew and Ian's (our newphews) dance performance to the tune of Singing in the Rain and Uptown Girl. We were all bowled over. Kevin and myself provided the live music for the evening, he was on the guitar and I was on the violin.
We went for Christmas morning mass the next day. Our first Christmas with the baby. I really liked one of the songs that was song, and I was looking at Kinnon when I sang it. I think having a baby really makes me understand how small and vulnerable Jesus was when he came into the world.
One small child in a land of a thousand
One small dream of a savior tonight
One small hand reaching out to the starlight
One small savior of love
One small savior of love
One king bringing his gold and his riches
One king ruling an army of might
One king kneeling with incense and candlelight
One king bringing us life
One king bringing us life
See the shepherds kneeling before him
See the kings on bended knee
See the mother praising the father
See his tiny eyelids fall
We went over to Laura's parents place for Christmas day celebrations. Laura's relatives from Kuching had flown in and joined as for the festivities. In the evening, it was my turn to cook, as I had my parents and my auntie over.
