Sometimes we don't realise how much our kids understand us, especially when we are talking about them. Kinnon overheard Laura telling Sally that Kinnon was grouchy because she wasn't giving him enough attention. A couple of hours later, he came running to mummy saying that "I want at-ten-tion" ... very big big word.

Chinese New Year

As usual, overdue updates....

Ashlynn -- has just gone past the 7th month mark. She's been pretty advanced when it comes to her motor development skills. She's been able to pull herself to standing for the past 2-3 weeks... We have had to put her in the play pen instead. She's at the point when she is learning to cruise, walking around while holding on to furniture. The problem is that her balance hasn't quite caught up with her strength, and she there are a couple of mishaps here and there.

Laura's started her on solids. I think she's had rice cereal, sweet potato, potatos, pear. She's quite an avid eater, but she definitely has a sweet tooth... doesn't like the potatos we try feeding her. She's allergic to infant formula and she breaks out in this rash whenever we feed her infant formula. Laura has her fed with soy formula and someone she doesn't seem to mind.

Kinnon -- is just going through the terrible twos. And we are going through this phase of how to discipline toddlers phase of parenthood. it's difficult when he begins to talk back....

Mommy "Mommy and daddy are not going to be happy if you hit Ashlynn with your toy. We are going to take your toy away if you do so, do you understand?"
Kinnon (clearly knowing what he is being told " No, I don't understand ... "

This is what he does when we tell him to say cheese, he squints his eye and tried to smile. Okay, I am personally not good at smiling too, so he probably got my genes.
